Welcome to my outdoor action/adventure blog! This is my online space where people can get to know me and from which I can promote my writing. I have two main streams going in this blog. One is personal tales: essentially action/adventure stories from my life and experiences. Another is the pure fiction short stories on Amazon. Regarding the fiction stories, there will be information and links related to my sci-fi and adventure short stories on Amazon. The short stories on Amazon will be much more detailed than the very short/snippets and blog stories you read on this website. The blogs are more personal stories, the short stories will be literary fiction.

Blogs Intro:

So, for my first blog I thought I should start from the beginning.  For me, that’s Alaska.  The state of my birth.

When people hear you were born in Alaska, they immediately assume a few things.  One, you must like or at least be used to the cold (nope, not used to it and not a fan) and two, you must have great stories from the wilderness (yes, in this case, I do).  Next, they want to hear the stories of your adventures. And, I have plenty of stories from Alaska for all to hear… they are the stories of my father.

You see, I was born in Alaska (Ft. Wainwright/Fairbanks at the Bassett Army Hospital to be exact), but we left when I was about nine months old (I don’t remember that part, so please do forgive me for lack of details on the move from Alaska to the Philippines). But, Alaska impacted all of my life.  The tales, the legacy the unique identity it gave me all had an effect.

So, with that in mind, welcome to the first of my stories from Alaska as told below from my Dad’s point of view in “Tales from the Cold #1”.
